I like to start a project with a visit to see the chosen location. I make a few sketches and take some photos for reference. I use the visit to get a briefing on the preferred view, picture size, important elements and what to leave out. I also like to discuss timescales and framing options.
I can work purely from photos provided, but much prefer to see the subject ‘in the flesh’.
I prefer to work on locations local to me, in Kent. I make regular trips to London and am pleased to take on London commissions.
Prices
The prices of my painting vary according to size and complexity, but are generally within the range £300 to £450.
The cost of framing also varies with size and choice of frame type, but is typically in the order of £60 to £80 for a coloured or natural hardwood frame.
